Introduction:
The ozolite 0400p is an Alkaline protease used in detergent formulations to remove protein based strains eg; grass, blood, mucous, faecal materials and various food such as egg & gravy. The enzyme hydrolyses insoluble protein strains into soluble peptides and amino acids, which them can be removed easily from fabric. The product works in conjunction with surfactants, builders and other laundry chemicals to enhance the removal most strains from all types of clothes surfaces under a wide variety of conditions.
Activity
The proteolytic activity of OZolite 0400P is expressed in ozolite protease units.The proteolytic activity is determined related to an enzyme standard under the following condition:
Substrate - Casein
Temperature - 50.c
pH - 8.5

Enzyme Properties
Fig 1 & 2 illustrate the activity of Ozolite0400P at various temperatures and pH values respectively. Enzyme is active throughout the pH range of interest for most detergents application.
Solubility
Ozolite 0400P is readily soluble in detergent solutions in all levels of concentration, temperature & pH which may occur in normal uses.
Toxicology
Enzyme is produced by a non-toxicogenic and non-pathogenic eco-friendly strain of micro-organism to ensure environmental safety.
Storage & stability
The granular enzyme provide excellent storage stability. The granular composition protects the protease from other chemicals in the detergent formulations and from external denaturing conditions.To retain maximum activity the product should be stored at moderate temperature in the original containers with the lid closed.
Packing
The product is available in 1 kg, 5kg and 25 kg plastic containers. Customized pack equivalent to batch dosing is offered as a part of customer services.
Usage in detergent formulation
The choice of what percentage of enzyme is to used depends mainly on factors such as temperature of th wash water and the cleaning performance desired from the detergent.The recommended usage of Ozolite 0400P is 0.4% to 0.6 % of the detergent.
Enzyme Handling
Inhalation of enzyme containing dust or aerosols from granulated anzymes should be avoided. In case of accidental spillage or contact with the skin or eyes, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water.
