Phosfit

Phytase Formulation For Poultry
Why Phosfyt is required:

Phosphorus is the third most expensive nutrient in poultry production after energy and protein. Animal protein supplements are generally high in phosphorus, while vegetable protein supplements are low. The major portion of the phosphorus in plant feed ingredients is in the form of phytic acid. Phytic acid contains about 28% phosphorus in the form of phosphoric acid. Calcium and magnesium salts of phytic acid are the phytin and are the primary storage form of phosphorus (60-90%) in plant seeds. Phosfyt is based on phytase enzyme produced from a mutated variety of fungus. It also contains other activities such as cellulase, beta gluconase and xylanase which make the preparation very efficient in the digestion of plant material.

Application:
Phosfyt is recommended to be used in feed for monogastric animals fed on diets containing plant material. Inclusion of Phosfyt will not affect the total P content of the diet but will result in improve digestibility and bio-availability of plant materials.

Availability:
Phosfyt is available in Granules, powder and liquid form with following activity:
Phytase: 5000 ftu/g minimum The phytase units are determined using sodium phytate as substrate at 50 c and pH 5.0

Dosage:
Dose should be worked out based on the type of feed. It is suggested that the dose should be tried on small samples and adjusted accordingly.

Storage & Packing:
At room temperature Phosfyt maintains its declared activity for at least 12 months. In liquid form stability is upto 6 months if stored as recommended. It should be stored under cool and dry condition 25°C. Phosfyt is available in standard 20 kgs HDPE sacks or can be customized as per the requirement. Liquid form is available in 35 Lits HDPE cans.
